DIGITAL HOME

Now-a-days anyone can simply observe how all the things we use in our daily life are being digital and automatic day by day. Using automatic systems to do some tasks will make peoples to concentrate on very useful situation and enjoy with no worry, and also make the tasks to be done perfectly as plan also repeatedly. Domestic technology is one the best and ever-growing technology.

There are many aspect of domestic technology. On one level, there are home appliance, such as close dryers and washing machines. On another, level there are CC TV cameras and high level security devices.

This project aims at designing an Amharic AI based central controlling server unit to control all the appliance that exist in average citizen’s house. The controlling unit consists of a voice recognition, a touch pad installed on the wall and a mobile App to control it from far away from home.

The system enables the owner of the house to see what’s going on his hose by accessing the cameras, regulate the temperature by accessing the air conditioner, identifies who knocking and activates the door. The system also have self-governance in absence of the owner. In case of security violation if the owner doesn’t replay soon the system will automatically call the police and upload the video online and send the download link to the police for data purpose.

To develop this Automatic control system. In this project the mobile app and the hardware code designs are done by the research investigators. Further, the hardware design and implementation of the sensors and the control circuit is done by the research members.
